I need to clarify a comment I made about my pictures

I had posted that I wasnt 100 % thrilled with my pictures, and Im not but Im not completely blaming our photograpoher, I should have been more detailed with what I wanted, I had a must have list for him but didnt give it to him because I had read from a post on here that those lists can overwhelm the photographer, I should have given it to him, I would have liked some pics of our two families combined ( his side is just his mom and sis, so it wouldnt have bee hard to do), and I would have liked a pic of me and sister inlaw, I just didnt tell him and didnt think to the day of, I also never stressed that I wanted lost of candids of my guests, and thats my own fault. I am adding to my album so that is a good sign, and they have been very nice when Ive called and asked about getting things centered, they have been great to work with so far, so I just wanted to clarify this for those who have booked my photographer, dont worry, give them your list and yourpics will be beautiful!! Just be specific, I wasnt, and I lose out.

Hi. I am still waiting on my carnival pic.. I am sure your weding pictures will be gorgeous. No one on the board thinks that their vendors are walking around with halos.We all know that no matter how much we plan there is bound to be a detail overlooked. No one is perfect, us or the vendors. You are right that you should have made your requirements known. We all need to make sure our vendors know what we are expecting on the day of our wendding, because that is the only way we are going to get what we want. No need to keep clarifying, your photographer has been known to do beautiful work so if it did not turn out exactly as you thought and you take some responsiblitly in that then people understand.

I think the most valuable thing the Brides Helping Brides section can do re:photographers is post proofs and provide a 'things i would have done differently' list. This way people can form their own opinions and take away tips they did not necessarily anticipate. Don't feel like you are vendor bashing just because you are not 100% thrilled with the outcome. What is not good for you may be perfectly fine for someone else and vice versa.

Show and tell is the best, opinions are very subjective, we all know that...or at least we should...

did you do 1 photographer? Im question Patken and 1 person being enough with @ least 300 proofs. I might ask for another just do exclusively take candid shots (and alot)

I've seen other places garuntee alot more pics or unlimited with the moment (if there is a good shot, they take it)

I'm already booked patken but sitll checking out preceptions. My main goal is SOHO book.

But we did get 400 profs from jyst the one, and that is plenty, between our prfessional shot and the table canmeras and family and friends personal cameras, I probably have atleats 700 pics so far from our wedding, The video looks AWESOME so far, I only saw a bit of the faw footage, but man, Bill from Wild Rose didnt miss a thing from what I saw, and I dont veen remember seeing him that day, very unobtrusive!!! YEA!!! I am very happy with my vendors, like I said what I would have done differently was give the must have list, then my happiness would be complete! It didnt help that one of the bets men was late, we wanted to kill him, so they didnt get to take pics before the ceremony, had to wiat until after which cut into our time together..so dh really only has a few with his guys and a few with his family, but we were on limited time, it just sucks

Thanks September bride, you made me feel better, I dont want to come accress like Im vendor bashing, I just wnat someone to hopefully learn from my mistakes!! We had one photographer and we only had around 80 guests, I am so thankful for my guests because they used the table cameras onthemselves and on us and we have incredible pictures from them.
