I need to get a new job...

The principal at my school basically told me that she doesn't want me there next year....she hates me and has been after me the whole year..So I need to find another job. Contractually she cannot fire me but I want to get the H E L L OUT ASAP!!

I am relieved but at the same time stressing about next year...God I hate her

Awww Kathleen, that stinks majorly. Well don't give in to your crappy boss unless you really have to!! I would set yourself up for another job before you just get the heck out!! I was sorta in the same boat, but I can't afford to leave because at this time I can't afford to lose my benefits!! Some times bosses stink. Think lots of us can sympathize. Just hang in there!! Hope that all works out for the best, as I'm sure it will!! Life works in mysterious ways!

I definitely know how you feel!!
I know that the pay is not as good as private schools, but have you given any thought to that if you can't land a LI school job, so that you can get out of that school you hate?

I really don't know...she needs a new punching bag...the teacher that she was doing it to before is leaving so she is harassing me

I hope everything works out. Don't leave unless you are ready to. Let her huff & puff all she wants. When one doors closes another swings right open. You will find a place where you are valued.

Kathleen, you definitely need to get out...she's doing you a favor... I'm sure something great will come along. Are you looking at other NYC schools?

I was in the same position not too long ago, my boss hated me and i got a new job and told them to basically go scratch. i am so much happier. good luck and hang in there, it'll get better, i promise
