I need to get a 'special' gift for a friends baby shower

I didnt really want to get the basic things, I wanted to get something special.
What do you think is a good idea? Did any of you receive something that was really nice and different?

The best thing I received was a basket full of pampering items for ME! It was filled with bath products, lotions, massage oils, candles...it was great since everyone was so focused on the baby. It made me feel good that someone remembered me - the one who was carrying the baby!
My FH also paid for me to get a pregnancy massage! That was a great gift!

If you're looking for something for the baby I just remembered what my FH's sister got for us. She got us this step stool that converts into a little seat for a small child. It's absolutely adorable!!!!! You can get it personalized and they have a large selection of different paintings.
She got ours at Sakoff's in Cedarhurst.
The website has a lot of neat ideas for baby gifts.
