Just found out my cousin is getting married Oct 27..less than a week after me...would this bother anyone else?

oh my. yeah, it would bother me. are you two close? will it be A LOT of the same relatives at both? ugh. do you think there will be a lot of oot'ers going to both? maybe your cousin thought it would be easier on oot'ers? i don't know, i was upset when my brother set his date to 2 1/2 months before ours lol so less than a week inbetween would set me off!!! good luck~lacey ps, if the dates stick, just try to focus on your big day and forget about what they are doing. you don't want it to turn into a competion! better that yours is first though!

Only if you have people coming in from out of town. Then your guests will have to choose or stay the whole week. Id get those invites out way before her!

it wouldn't bother me cause you're getting married first!! It's a little inconsiderate and I wouldn't have done it, but people don't think.

If it was week before it would bother me, but a week after I wouldn't care. All your relatives are going to be pissed at her because you've already been planning this for a while, so now they have to give 2 wedding gifts in one week.
She's stupid for planning it that way.

Well, does that mean you will miss her wedding because you will be on your honeymoon? If so, then I would be sad that I'd miss her wedding, but other than that, who cares?

I am just worried that the oot guests are going to have to either stay here for a week, or choose...I am just happy that I sent my stds yesterday !

She didnt mail out std's, she just got engaged, I dont even know where she is having her weddings. I feel bad, if people came to mine and not hers I would feel bad, and if they go to hers and not mine I will be very hurt. I am almost 100% positive she knew about mine, they were invited to my e-party, but if she doesnt..I feel awful for her when she finds out

If she just got engaged and you don't think she has booked her hall, why don't you give her a call and maybe say that you heard she picked the weekend after your wedding, and you just wanted to see if she knew it was only a week away from your wedding.

I know she already booked...her father and my mother (bro and sis) talked about it for hours today...my mom just cant recall where he said hers was...

Uhh, she obviously doesn't care if you are at her wedding then. That's totally rude and weird that she would do that. I don't want to sound mean, but she is obviously not thinking logically. The whole family has probably been talking about your wedding, now she books one week ahead. It ***** for her because during her wedding everyone will have yours in their head, comparing, plus yours will be such a good time, they might be partied out by the time her wedding arrives.
Also, if your older than her, they might go to yours instead.

You are AWESOME! I keep saying that I dont want people comparing the two, its really not fair, because her idea of what she wants, and my idea of what I want are probably very different....She is invited to mine, and I hope she comes, but I unfortunately can not be there for her, I will be on my hm..

awe, I'm sure it will be ok. In all honesty do not worry, you sent out your STD's, did your part, now everyone can decide what they want to do. I'm sure you'll talk to relatives about this and they'll let you know their plans.
