can any one lead me in the right direction on where to get supplies and what to do....?

Not sure if you ever got this done. But mine took only a few minutes to do. Go to Michaels - buy an inexpensive pillar candle, a holder for it - just a simple short stand will do and a sheet of velum paper. Open Word, change to landscape layout and center the text - then write whatever you'd like - we're Christian so I put a quote from the Bible and then wrote 'Celebrating today with us in spirit and forever in our hearts'....and the names of my brother and father. Print it out on the velum and then just wrap the velum around the candle (I used two sided tape to stick it together) - it worked out great. Good luck

iwas going to suggest doing vellum paper too. i got my unity candle made and when i got it iwas like... i could have made this myself!! HAHA
It's so easy you can do everything in Microsoft Word insert a picture (if you want) and then print it on Vellum paper add a little ribbon and that's it.
