So I have these cute little 'Will you be my...' cards for the entire bridal party, even though we already asked everyone. I thought it would be nice to write something heartfelt to everyone saying how happy we are they are in the bridal party. Well, my FH said today 'Oh, I'll write in my card to the guys, 'You already said yes, so don't think about pulling any crap'' HELLO? I just lost a bridesmaid 3 days ago because she is going to be in another wedding even though she's been committed to my wedding for 8 months! How f*cken insensitive can he be! So I got mad and he just gave this ******** apology 'I'm sorry that I made a joke' and he was annoyed at me for being upset. He has no reason to act like this! Can't he cut me some slack because I'm upset and hurt that my bridesmaid left? He couldn't just apologize sincerely? So we walked to work in silence today (a 20 minute walk) and then he gave me a cold kiss and told me he's see me at home. Ugh!

Re: I need to VENT!
This is my first post but I went throught the same thing.. BM backing out..asked her back in feb and she said yes even though we knew she was trying to get preg. with the 2nd, well in May during a get together she told me she was preg and due in dec. and after 11 years of being friends I felt like a piece of pooh, it was not about the money (which I am being told I can't understand) but the sentimental point of all of this... so I sympathize with you...

Thank you. FH just doesn't understand how much this hurts. He has had his guy friends since grammar school and they would do anything for him. I find that girls can be so mean, and a lot of my girlfriends (mostly past friends) aren't loyal at all.

Re: I need to VENT!
I can understand your frustration, but men will be men. My FI cracks jokes at the worst times and sometimes I just give him this blank look and turn and walk away from him. He gets the hint faster that way, then it would by me yelling at him for some odd reason.
I'm sorry your frustrated, I'd be upset too if I lost a BM. Try not to let his little remark bother you so much, if he's like a typical guy, he actually thought he was trying to make you feel better but actually making the situation worse!
Chin up, you always have us to vent to!

Thanks, I just wish he had apologized sincerely instead of getting mad at me for being upset.

I am so pissed off because I typed a nice long response and LIW was too slow and wouldn't let me post it. I offer you big men are insensitive sometimes. I think the most important thing for you to do is to talk to him tonight openly and honestly about your feelings.

Re: I need to VENT!
I hear you completely. I don't have many loyal female friends either. And a lot of times I get upset about something, FH just doesn't get it and tries to crack a joke.
You also have to understand that guys have ways of talking to each other. He probably figures his guys won't back out on him so he can say that. Us women know better.
Keep your head up and your pout going, and maybe he will apologize properly. Tell him you were hurt by what he said because it's still a sensitive issue that you wish he wouldn't take so lightly.
