I need to vent! (LONG)

I took the day off b/c of the snow and b/c I needed a day off...

Since this morning I have gotten a phone call from the mtg. broker (who is the most pompous person I ever met!!) saying he still needs things faxed over and he will meet with the underwriter to get me a list of what we still need. This has been going on for weeks. He asks for something, we send it, he thinks of something else. He is totally incompetent. Our original closing date was supposed to be tomorrow, now I am just hoping its before 2/1.

Then the sellers re agent calls to tell me that this is lingering too long and the deal needs to close. Basically, she wants her money and she gives me a tone like its my fault we haven't closed yet. I refuse to pick up her calls anymore and will not call her back again. She says she needs to be informed when and where the closing is. The seller is her customer, he can deal with her.

Just now, I get a message from the attys. office. Seems like they never ordered the lien search like they were supposed to weeks ago. I don't even have the energy to call them back.

This is a stupid coop deal, you would think we were buying and selling millions of dollars of property. I am so disgusted with everyone connected to the deal.
I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHEN I AM GOING TO CLOSE!!!!
I really feel like saying do you want blood from me, because that's the only thing you haven't asked for.
Thank you for letting me vent. I would call DH but he is at work in front of his classroom and I can't interrupt him!

I know exactly what you are going through. Mortgage brokers are a pain in the you know what. Tell him that you want a list of what you need in 15 minutes and if the deal falls through b/c they can't get their act together then you will sue them.

The attorney can put a rush on the lien search. It usually takes a while. Tell them that they should have done it before and now they need to pay for a rush on it.

The real estate agent should not be harrassing you. Nobody usually closes on the date of the contract. You still have a month to close from the date that was put on the contract. The seller agreed with that when he/ she signed it.

The sellers agent never called us- tell him/her to talk to your agent! As for the mortage broker tell him to get his act together there are other brokers out there! You want the complete list and that is it!

Your atty should have ordered the lien search when the rest of the title report was ordered and the survey/inspection was done. Wow. Make sure he orders a lien search on you and the sellers.

I agree with everyone, the Seller's agent should be contacting her clients OR your attorney, never you. Your atty is the one who has to set the closing date, not you.

Well, I feel better now. When I called the atty. he said we will close either Monday or Tuesday of next week... everything should be in place by then.

And I have decided I am not speaking to the sellers re agent again. I am going to leave her a message that if she wants to communicate with us, she needs to do so through our atty. She doesn't bother the seller as much as us.
