So last night FH and I went to the showcase at the Marriott in Islandia. There was this band there called Paris and they were AMAZING! Like completely and totally outstanding. They sang everything from Adele to Bon Jovi to Josh Groban. There were actually points were I had goosebumps. FH and I kept looking at each other while they were performing saying how awesome it would be to have them at our wedding. Well after they were done performing FH and I went over to talk to them and get some more info. What they told me almost made me fall over. Theyre packages start and I repeat START at $6500!! Thats just for the 4 hour reception!!! Then the girl asked what our date was and she said that they were available for that date. The whole ride home I just whished that she had said that they were booked for our date. That would have made it so much easier to accept that theres not a snowballs chance in he that we could ever afford them!! Ohhh if I could just win MEGA!!!

We met with Paris too and it was $6500...sheesh, thats a lot of money. I said if we win the lotto we can have them if not the dj will do just fine! LOL I was torn because the dj will play the songs just as they are and how we like them but we loved the way the guy sang in spanish because we have a lot of hispanic family and the woman sings great!

I wish I could consider it. I would LOVE to have a band but theres just NO WAY that I could spend that kind of money... Ohhhh reality.. how I hate it...

A band is so expensive but my FH would not budge so we made it in our budget and cut back other places

My FH and I dont really have a budget....but that price is INSANE!!!! We're going with Gensis Events and adding in drummers, and a singer etc so I will have that band feel.
