Hello everyone...I'm Jackie and totally new to this thing. I hope everyone is having fun planning their wedding! I have been engaged for over a year now and as agreed with my fiance we postponed our wedding planning for a year untill I was done with school. Well, finally I finished and want to start planning for my wedding which by the way we want a SUMMER WEDDING hoping for July of '08. I know it's fast approaching but I have faith that I can make it. I am very interested on having my wedding reception at either Jericho Terrace or Russo's On The Bay. I've read great reviews for both but I was wondering if anyone knew what their price range is???? Does anyone suggest a wedding planner ??? Any help will be greatly appreciated...Or if anyone can recommend reception halls in Brooklyn??? Thank you!

Re: I need TONS of help!
I'm sorry I dont have any info on those halls but I just wanted to say Welcome and Congrats!!!!
You can do a search for any reviews on those halls. July is a popular month and during peak season so i'm not sure what price range your're looking for either. But these girls are VERY helpful!!
Happy Planning

welcome and congrats.
The first thing I would do is call the reception halls to see if they even have a date available for July, because they could very well be completely booked already.

Welcome and congrats! As Jess said, contact the places to see if they have dates available in July. Depending on the day (Fri, Sat, or Sun) and the time (day or evening) will all factor into the cost of the pp.

1st off Congrats and Welcome!!!!! This site is VERY helpful!!!
You def want to make sure that the halls you are interested in can accommodate you this summer. It is approaching fast so i would def check on them ASAP>
A lot of girls are getting married @ both Jericho Terrace and Russo's that are on this site. I am sure they can all offer you a lot of information. FH and I just had a wedding at Jericho Terrace in August and it was great!! Russo's has been a hall that we have been to sooooo many times and each time is exceptional!!!! Good Luck in your planning!!!!!

Congrats and happy planning. Like the other members suggested, your first step would be to call the halls and see if they have a July date available. Best wishes!

Congrats! This site is great, I don't know what I'd do without it. Have you looked at the New Hyde Park Inn? I hear it's been redone.

Wow thanks you guys! I can't believe how much info I've gatthered in sooo little time. You are all awesome!!!
Usually reception halls have their own wedding planners to help you, so make sure to ask about that wherever you decide to book.
Good luck!

Oh and you should def. check out the North Ritz Club... its soooo gorgeous and i've heard nothing but RAVE reviews. It has more of an intimate setting and the pricing is reasonable
