I need unbiased Help!

First I saw that someone wrote that my other posts were in 2004 and they are correct and that is part of my problem.

I'll start from the beginning and try to make it brief.

I am 40 years old. I married young and was married for 10 years. We had a wedding with about 150 guests. In 2004 I got married for the 2nd time - 10 months after being married by husband had a stroke.

I recently became engaged and it is my fiances 2nd marriage he has two girls and I have two boys. He did not have a big wedding for his first marriage and really want to have a party. I on the other hand am really embarassed to have a 3rd wedding and would like something very lowkey. Last night we created a list - he is the youngest of 8 - so just with his immedate family and their spouses and a few children it came to 29 and with my immediate family it is 25.

So my first issue is the 3rd wedding and my second issue is that I would like to invite two cousins and I ran it by my brother and his wife and they feel that it would create problems inviting certain cousins and not others. I am so confused I really dont know what to do.

I would appreciate anyone's input. Thank you.

Maybe you guys can have something in a restaurant instead of the whole big wedding hoopla at a RH with hundreds of people. If you keep it small then people have to understand why everyone isn't invited.

Yeah, I agree ... I would keep it very small and intimate.

is it possible to invite those cousins at the last minute so that the other family members don't find out?

You can always play if off..if other family asks 'why did you invite X and Y but not US or A.B, C????!!' and those cousins could just say 'ohh well..she needed 2 more seats and we just happened to have been in her thoughts that day when she needed extra bodies!!'.

your brother has a point, once you invite one you have to invite others or else people will talk and get upset and blah blah blah....

if your FH really wants a BIG wedding- why not go for it?

You can still have it at a hall just one with a small minimum. I only had to guarantee 75 people. Mine will def be less then 100.
