I want to start thinking about our vacation for next year.
We usually go to Vegas, and I don't want to do it again this year.
Also would probably do it around October of 2004, becasue of family weddings and births.
Also Disney is out since my brother lives ther so it would be nice to see him, but not what i want in a vacation.
Any suggestions??

Go visit yabbobay. Maybe go up to canada- 2003Oct10 went on a great fall cruise for her hm.
Maybe if we could have a budget, or at least 3 nights and transportation arrangements.

We want to go somewhere warm, my DH would never go to Canada in October, he wants ot come home from vacation with a tan.

There's a lot to do and see in NO and I think they corner the market on outstanding restaurants. The bars there are lots of fun!!
Key West has their annual halloween fantasy festival that's something to see. Think mardi gras but smaller. Great weather that time of year too!

What kind of vacation? Beach? City?? Warm weather or cool? Do you want to be busy or just laze around??
I'm a beach bum and love the sun, sand and sea of the Caribbean or Florida. On the other hand, I had awesome vacations in Montana/Wyoming and Vancouver BC.
After buying our house, we can't afford a vacation for a while...so I'm living through others' vacation plans!!

Warm, doesn't have to be a beach, I like doing things, and my DH likes to relax, so a combination.

I really wanted ot do a Disney cruise, but they have no casino on them, so Forget that!!!!
On the last cruise we went on we gambled every night.
its a long shot to be rehire...since its funded by a grant...unless I get a grant for myself... maybe...but they said odds are slim...
and don't you get it...john doesn't want to see you...

i know you said you don't want a long flight, but i'd go to italy. especially since all the other tourists have gone home by october.

DH and I just went to St. Lucia in October. The weather was perfect, beautiful beaches, great weather...no humidity.
We went to South Beach 2 years ago in Nov, and it was very windy...so windy that we couldn't even walk on the beach because the sand would wip us. Also my parents just came back for Ft. Lauderdale last week... and they said the same thing about the wind.
