I need Vegas Help please!!!!!

FH and I went to Vegas 2 summers ago. I've also gone with the girls a few times.
What FH and I did was we booked through southwest vactions and got an amazing deal at the Bellagio. i think we paid something like 500 total for 3 nights plus flights.

When i've gone with teh girls we've always always booked flights seperate from the hotel. We found that booking through the hotel website was sometimes cheaper.

We've stayed at:
Treasure Island
Mandalay Bay
Mirage
and
New York, New York

I think all but Mandalay Bay we booked through hotel website
It ended up always being about 250 a girl. We usually do 3 nights, as we've foudn that four is a little to much.

DO NOT STAY OFF THE STRIP!!!-Statosphere is going to come up as cheaper in searches but not nice

DO NOT STAY AT THE LUXOR---IMO-totally gross b/c FH and I also went to Grand Canyon and Sedona we stayed our final night on teh way back to LI at the Luxor b/c it was cheap on expedia...big mistake

I loved the Bellagio, Treasure Island and Mandalay Bay

Just remember-your not going to be spending a super huge amount of time in the room as there is so much to do and see in Vegas

We have use Southwest all 5 times we have gone to vegas and their prices are very good check them out!!!!SOUTHWEST VACATIONS

dont use a travel agent.. i dont know but i always get better prices online. i just booked my FH and his friends for MEMORIAL day weekend at ARIA (the new hot hotel) thursday to monday 665 per person.

I stalked travelocity for 3 days straight. (i use every search agent.. GOing they couldnt get a direct flight, but its a 1 hour layover in LA. coming back ont he red eye.

I do check everyday, I use orbitz...expedia kept telling me all the rooms are sold out

FYI.... Expedia and orbitz wont give you American Airlines FLights. so if AA has a cheaper flight so you wont know about it... the problem in Lybia has def shot up the prices. but keep checking everyday, like evita said, one day it just drops.

Check to see if you can pick a cheaper weekend since hotel rates vary per weekend.

Also, flights are going up daily due to all the global issues, oil, etc. Maybe you could just do AC and stay in a sick suite!

I personally would not be able to afford $700 to attend a friend's bach party. I have my own wedding and I have 6 other weddings to attend!

Im doing the gansevoort for the weekend. 365 (flight and hotel) 4 girls to a room.

i would do a flight for cheaper with a short layover, but one girl gets panic attacks and said she wont be able to handle a layover, ugghh

its the flights that are so exp, not so much the hotels

im open to all options, dates, hotels, etc!

welcome to my world. Here's a few tricks:

1. Websites like expedia, orbitz, etc. remember your IP address - so if you're looking at the same sites every day the website knows that you are really interested in that flight/trip so it jacks up the price. try searching randomly every now and then from a different computer to see what happens. My MOH did this with her BF and he had got a flight for like $200 cheaper. Insane!

2. try searching on wednesday and thursday early morning (like 12 - 2 AM). Those are the times when the flights are the cheapest.

3. Never search on the weekend - these sites jack up their prices.

Same thing is happening to me right now - i have been looking like crazy and everything is SUPER expensive. I'm probably going to wait as well to book, but some of my BMs want to just do it now. I've been trying to 'follow the rules' but i can't find ANYTHING until $400 (flight only).

its a great deal, on the palms site the price would be 850 for the 4 nights

if i do it through jetsetter its 410!!!

only 100 per girl!

then we will need to find flights

just spoke to my sis/moh and she is going to email everyone!

I dont mind, we are just going to go to pool parties everyday which we would take a cab for anyway, since none of them are really in close enough walking distance

Ive been to vegas a few times and I always end up taking cabs anyway, heels cant make it too far lol!
