Guys I have a dilemma..... I like my FH's family and all, but to an EXTENT!! Unfortunately my FH still lives with his parents, so whenever the weekend comes and I want to spend time with him I have to worry about his dang family being all up in the mix!.... It's so very frustrating! especially when his family always want to know whats goin on? For example: if him and I were to get into a little argument and he stepped out of the room for a min- his mom would probably notice his serious face and quickly ask him 'what's wrong? what's wrong?' I hate that, I feel we have no privacy (arrgghh)..... He spends some weekends at my house, but I like to get away from my family at times also..... He was thinking about getting an Apartment, but if he does that we would have to postpone the wedding further.

BOOOO i hear that... maybe get a smaller or basement apt so it doesnt set you back too much... or just go on a small weekend getaway then you'll be good for a little while!

Ugh sorry about your situation. That was part of the reason why I moved back to the United States from Barbados. We lived with his mother and she would do the same thing. It got to be sooooo annoying.

Yea he's tried.. but I dont wanna make anyone feel uncomfortable.... I've already had my personal rolller-coaster ride with this family.. I just really want him to move out!!

I HEAR YOU!!! I have the SAME problem. We try to get away as often as possible, but with the wedding coming, we cannot afford to go away every couple of weeks. It is tough, just hang in there and keep in mind that you will live together SOON!!!

I am sorry Chica...
My FH lives by himself in a little room (He pays $400 a month)... and I love the fact he lives there bc we can spend 'rpivacy time' at his room.... Before his mom used to b like that, but ove the phone.... I told him to talk to her... he did... and she stopped.... I knwo it is annoying but that is a way he has to save money now, u should think about that, if he moves out... those are 400-600 dollars he will be using,.....

I hear you! FH and I live in my parent's basement apt. The basement used to be the family room and they still aren't accustomed to the basement being offlimits. Plus the laundry room is in the basement so we have to share that. There are times when we feel we have no privacy, but we are saving soooo much money by doing this. This is the only way we are able to have the wedding that we're having. It will all be worth it in the end!
It's only 1 or 2 years of the rest of your life, just keep telling yourself that!

SORRY i can hear your frustration. Just know that it is only temporary; and by you both living at home you're able to save $$ for the wedding. FH & I bought a house two years ago; we both went from living with our parents to living together so at time i wish we both still lived at home so that paying for the wedding would be easier; but I also love the fact that our home is already 'made.'
Have you looked at where you going to live after the wedding?? Maybe you can start to look now and even if he moves in for a few months before the wedding to get things situated you'll have that time alone?
