I need your advice PLEASE!

I need your advice PLEASE!

Hello my friends! Can i just mention that I live on this website and would be lost w/out it!

I have a HUGE list of vendors to pick from. You ladies have been so helpful with giving the names and places to go visit. So far I have seen Med. Manor and Sunset Harbour. Both places were completly different. I love Med. Manor for its price. They are asking about 11,000 for 100 people and are including a ton of extras. However I do not love the way it looks. I really liked the look of Sunset Harbour and the pricing is not that bad (60-75pp depending on day) However, it does not include the extras that MM is giving me.

Here is my question: I need to pick some more vendors to go look at but in my price range/day.time of year/ etc. I really can only spend on my entire wedding 15,000. This includes dress, RH, etc. (I just might be wishing for a miracle) My guest list ranges from 100-130 so far. I would love to have my wedding over the summer and Thursday/Friday nights are ok Sat/Sun days are ok too. If I have to I can have it in Feb. or April (I have vacation those months from work). This means I am looking at spending 75pp tops!
This is the wonderful list that was supplied to me by my wonderful friends on this website:
*Arianna Waterfalls
*Rivieria
*The Metropolitian
*Brentwood country club
*Milleridge Carriage
*Verdi's
*Stewart Manor
*Coral House
*Cafe on the Green
*The Sterling
*Amborsia
*La Piazza
*Dominicos
*Swan Club
*Thatched Cottage
*Douglaston Manor
*Larkfield manor
*Captain Bills
*Manor East
*Beach Club Estate
*Rock Hill
*Vanderbilt Mansion
*Memorare
*Crest Hollow
*Chateau Briand
*Chateau La Mer
*Marconi Manor
*Giorgio's
*Fox Hollow
*Westbury Manor
*Miller Place Inn
*Meadow Club
*Leonards of Great Neck
*Floral Terrace
WOW that list is long. Please help me narrow it down. THANK YOU!!

I am getting married Apr '09 on a Thursday evening at the Chateau Briand I am paying less then you max you want to spend.

If really want a summer wedding try a holiday weekend or Thursday you can really get a good deal. Some of the '09 brides are Thursday evening in the summer. They are using Jericho Terrace and Rivera, also look into Fox Hollow and Westbury Manor!!

These are the places that I heard were on the inexpensive side:

The Metropolitan (75pp in the summer-sat. night)
Ariana Waterfalls (all inclusive package- photo, video, dj, etc.)
Millerage Carriagehouse
Coral House
Thatched Cottage
Larkfield Manor
Fox Hollow
Chateau La Mer (can't remember the quote, but I believe it was around 75pp)

I went to Floral Terrace, but they start at 16k (during the summer on a friday or sunday).

Of that list I looked at both the Meadow Club & Miller Place Inn. Both were in the $70's for summer months. Meadow club had told me that January through March the price was $65pp for a Sat. night only 100 guaranteed & if there was a snow storm they would let you reschedule for a similar night. If you call those 2 places they will give you a price on the phone, but then if you want to negotiate you should go in to talk.

Also, I think Brentwood cc has a similar package as Med. Manor. My friend said that a wedding she went to there was one of the best she's been to.

I would look at Bella Verde in Deer Park. It is on a golf course and my step brother had his wedding there. it was beautiful and they spent 15 total on everything. I know it wasn't on your list, but I would check it out. HTH

My friend paid less than your max at Fox Hollow in Feb 08. I know the prices change. Fox Hollow was great, have them give you a more accurate quote!!

ETA: She had a sunday night on President's weekend.

Sunset Harbour in Patchogue is really nice. We almost went with them. It's right on the water! When I looked for Sep/Oct.2008 it was around $65 pp.

Re: I need your advice PLEASE!

Step 1: I would call them first. Get price quotes over the phone so you know which ones to rule out.

Step 2: Then look at the website to see which ones are your style.

Step 3: Go visit a bunch. We created a grid on the computer and rated each venue on a few different criteria for each place we went to get an overall score.

HTH!
