I need your help

I just posted but i dont think it went through...

...Right now I am a little confused and I could kick myself, really, for not researching enough.

Back in September we booked Secrets Punta Cana. Usually I am not a big beach person, but FH and I figured it was our honeymoon and we did not have to constantly be on the go. (Neither of us know how to relax..we get super bored quick lol)..

SO..Now my parents are in Punta Cana, and they called quick and they sound MISERABLE! However, they are NOT staying at the same resort. I called the travel agent over at Liberty (who is honestly of no help whatsoever) and she isn't giving me any options.

What should I do? Should I try it because it is a different resort? I am just afraid of the stomach issues and bugs (yuck lol). I did hear our resort is nice. I also don't want to be bored. We only have a budget of like 2800 so its hard. And I dont mean to sound like I am whining and all, I just want us to have the best possible first week as husband and wife.

Any suggestions? Other places? Should I stay? Thanks girls :)

I am having the same issue. I heard that Secrets is fantastic though. Unfortunately, it's not really within our budget so I'm trying to find somewhere as nice that's a little less expensive. Could you possibly FM where your parents are staying so I could avoid that particular resort?

Right now, I'm considering Bahia Principe, Ocean Blue, Iberostar Bavaro, and Paradisus if those suggestions help you at all. I think that Secrets is considered better than any of those though. I just can't decide which one will be the nicest!

Trust me go with Iberostar Bavaro.. so nice!!! You have access to the other resorts. There is a club, entertainment, pool bar. The beach is beautiful, a bunch of good restaurants!!!

This is a great site where you can look up ANY hotel and read real reviews from people who have been there. This is the only way I will book trips now. Hopefully it helps you make a decision!
