ill it started with eye allergies and now it's progressed to an eye infection because he kept on scrubbing his eyes.

we need to see an opthamologist, can any recommend theirs? any chance for sunday hours??

he's been to the ER twice but they can't do anything because it's an infection and just gave him an ointment and sent him home.

please please please help!! recommend your eye doctor!! thanks ladies!!

He's great! He has been my mom's eye doc for a while...she has a lot of trouble with infections in her eye.

Lupita, so sorry your FH is not doing well. I don't have any info on an opthalmologist, just wanted to send some your way.

I do not think my eye dr.'s work on Sundays but their names are as follows (I am not sure where you are located soooo):

Her and her husband are excellent. My family goes to them. I used to but since I had lasik done, those dr.'s are my eye dr.'s now.

So sorry this is happening to FH. Have you tried an urgent care center?

They are usually between a regular doctor's office (which has set daytime hours) and a hospital emergency room (which has to treat life-threatening injuries first) in terms of availability.

Is FH covered through your or his work health insurance? Are in network providers listed on the insurance company's Web site? This isn't the most efficient way to get a doctor, but maybe calling down the list and getting their emergency numbers will help. Don't limit yourself to opthamologists--also try general practitioners. Optometrists (the folks who do yoru eyeglass prescriptions) may also be an options. They're not MDs like opthamologists, but IIRC, they can prescribe stuff for eyes.

Can his general practictioner take an appointment?

I go there but I see Dr. Eric Vinokur. He is amazing - my whole family goes there. (the Smithtown office).

I have someone on Wantagh Ave in Wantagh.....but at this moment the name is escaping me!
