My fiance and I have chosen a lighter tux for the guys. My father is concerned that his black tux is going to make him stick out too much and that it will look silly. My father said he would feel better if my FH father was wearing a black tux but my FH father is the best man and is wearing a lighter tux. My dad wants to wear the same suit as the bridal party (pic in album) which is silly because he is not in the bridal party. My brother in laws are all in the part and my father thinks he will look silly. SOMEONE HELP ME! Girls, what to do?

Our fathers are wearing the same tuxes as the GM, but they are wearing different shirts and ties. Perhaps you can look into this? I think it might look weird if your dad is in black and everyone else is in tan. JMO.

as far as i understand your dad is 'part of the bridal party' if hes walking you down the asile... he should be in the same tux as the rest of the bridal party. my dad and FFIL will be wearing whatever the BP is wearing

Our dads are wearing the same tuxes as the BP also, I think he will stick out if he is the only one wearing a black tux

Our GM's are wearing beige suits and FFIL is wearing the same suit jacket with different pants (the suit came with two sets of pants) and we bought him a different tie. So he'll be similar but still stand apart.

I believe your father's feelings of 'sticking out' is correct. He IS part of the Bridal Party. I think you should get yor father a lighter tux to look similar to the tuxes in your bp.

My godfather who is also my uncle is walking me down the aisle is wear the same tux as the FH, GM's, and Ring Bearers. FFIL is wearing a black tuxedo because he is not in the wedding party.

what about if your dad wears the same color tux as the BP but have him wear a different color vest/tie or bow tie. You are right though if your dad is the only one in black then he will stand out and you should be the one standing out! (I dont know if anyone suggested that for you yet) Good Luck

I am having my stepdad, FFIL, and grandfather all wear the same taupe suits as my GM. I think it will look much better all together than them wearing black suits.
BUT...thats just my matchy matchy obsessiveness. Nothing says you have to have them all do that.

I absolutely love the color of the tuxes, maybe instead of your dad wearing black, He should wear chocolate brown with the beige tie and vest to incorporate the groomsmens tuxes.
