Which do you think is a better idea???
The only reason I was thinking the picture board, is because we can hang that up in our house after...

The board is something I have had in my mind to do also. Hmmmm, not sure how your halls are configured. But maybe if it's set up (in a studry way of course) on a eisle (sp?) near (not right next to) the cake. Maybe the band/dj can make an announcement to feel free to sign it. Maybe it can be placed near the door (inside of) the room, where the reception is.

We did the polaraid guest book and the picture that the guests could sign.

I love my guestbook, definitely do that. Laura from LA Productions and her assistants handle the polaroid guestbook and Duet handle the picture the guests signed.

We also did a picture collage that everyone really loved looking at. It was pictures of Phil and I as a couple over the years, us growing up with our siblings, our aunts and uncles and cousins, our friends from highschool and college and our parent's wedding pictures. It really came out awesome and our guests loved it because alot of them were in the collage. We hung it in our living room.

we're doing the frame thing, but i think the Polaroid would be cool. i just remember the film being very expensive.

I vote for picture board but then again I bought mine yesterday. I'm afraid that guest books just wind up on a shelf or in a box and you'll forget to look at them. I also think the framed mat is a nice edition to the cocktail hour/reception.

FYI:Michael's has one that is 16 X 20' that is matted to hold an 8 X 10 picture. It's good for a smaller wedding or if you only want close family and friends to sign. It was $11.89 before the coupon... a lot cheaper than what they quoted me for a custom mat (around $30) and much, much cheaper than Pottery Barn's.
