I Need Your Prayers Girls...WITH UPDATE AT BOTTOM

Original post by Aristotelina

So please, send a small prayer to Choppy.

Thanks girls...

*************************************************

So, choppy has a tumor on his kidney.

We are doing exploratory surgery tomorrow and if it's really serious, they will just put him down but they said there is a 50% chance that they can just cut off the tumor and that he will be better.

Thanks for your prayers ladies..keep em coming! Choppy sends a big lick to all of you!!!

Re: I Need Your Prayers Girls...Small Update

So he didn't get up all night--he stayed in the same position and when my mom tried to move him, he yelped.

Thankfully though, he drank water and he just ate a little chicken that my mom hand fed him.

We are taking him to the doctor at 11:30am. Wish us luck...

And THANK YOU for the prayers...

That's what we originally thought yesterday but he hasn't vomited or gone to the bathroom at all since yesterday morning.

No neither did my dog then in a few days we noticed she pepped up on her own, I hope that is all that is wrong with your dog. How old is your dog?

He's going to be 13 in March. I mean, he looks great and everything else is fine with him so this totally caught us off guard.

I will keep you gals posted--we're leaving now!

Awww Penny I'm sooo sorry! My dog had something similar a few months ago. Same symptoms just no vomit. Did the vet check your dogs back? I know it sounds silly but that what happened with my dog. His back went out, the vet gave him a shot and some medicine for a few weeks and after that he was as good as new.

I am so sorry. This actually happened to my dog and the same thing, she wouldnt eat and couldnt walk. The vet told me to make her chicken and rice. Both very plain just boiled. Well she ate that for a few days and was back to her normal self. I know it sounds crazy but I would try it. I literally boiled chicken for about 45 minutes-an hour and boiled some rice, cooled it off and gave her a small portion of it. She devoured it and within a few days felt better. HTH
