I agree, we are working out our personal quirks and are getting used to one another

We are both soo used to our own personal space that its hard getting used to having the other around all the time, its entertaining

I also agree with this...ikmagine getting home from your honeymoon and 10 minutes later it looks like a hurricane hit!!!

There are some things you can change and some things you have to get use to...pick your battles!!!

i forth this comment - you need to get all those little things out there and you will notice things you never did before.

but in my case, its the opposite in my house, i'm the slob who just throws my stuff wherever it lands and he is a neat freak.

I also agree. FH and I lived together for 2 years before we got engaged. At first it was his idea, and I just went along with it. But now I'm very happy we did that, because now when we get married, there won't be any surprises.

FH is terrrrrrrrrible when it comes to cleaning, so you're not alone!!

He tells me he cleans his room every single time I come to visit...but I get there and it still looks really messy! There's stuff on the floor, clutter everywhere, wet towels left on the bed...it drives me bonkers!

Then again...its a learned behavior. He lives with his parents and the whole HOUSE looks that way! There is not a free surface ANYWHERE in that house! I can't walk around barefoot coz...stuff...gets stuck to the bottom of my feet. All the dishes pile up in the sink because the clean dishes never leave the dishwasher...it just stays open and you grab them from there when you need them!

FH says he doesn't like living like that...but its all he knows! I hope he realizes that I won't live like that!!

my fh was a bit of a slob when we first moved in but I'm happy to say he has picked up the slack. Although every so often I find socks laying around...oy!

take a deep breath...they are a completely different species at times!
