I have called off my engagment. Deep inside I know it is for the better but it still hurts. I'm strong and I'll get over it. I have a wonderful family besides me!

I'll still be around lurking around here because I love talking to you guys! Thank you girls for all your wedding advice - I'll keep it in mind when the right time comes along

My thoughts are with you...

On May 24, 1986, after my best friend's wedding, I told my then-fiancee that I didn't want to get married...

It was a very difficult thing to do.....but, in my heart I knew it was the right decision.

I was fortunate to have support from friends and family and I took time for myself which helped me to heal.

All these years later, I have no regrets and have never looked back.

Today, I'm engaged to a wonderful man and we'll be married next year.

Take time for yourself...'this too shall pass'....
