I officially resign from anything DIY!

So in my last ditch effort to do something myself - I went to Target, bought very pretty silver paper and an embosser for a lace design border.

I was going to try to make my own petal cones. Being that I must have failed art in grade school (or the teacher was very nice to me) it came to my attention that I cannot even create a cone out of paper. I got so frustrated that I broke out in a sweat. Needless to say - the paper and the embosser will be returned to Target and I will pay the $2/cone for some company to make my petal cones!

Anyone know any places that make petal cones? FH saw how bad I was struggling with it and said that he'd pay half... that's how bad my cones were... Any other ideas for the petals? I was also considering those 'chinese food' favor boxes that you can get at Michaels (I'd throw a heart sticker on them and call it a day!). Thoughts on alternatives to the cones?

you dont even necessarily need petal cones, unless its something you REALLY want then don't even worry about it seriously...I love the chinese take out boxes, some have these real cute stickers to go along with it.

Go to this site, they have real cute chinese take out boxes and look at the petal cones too...They also have a store you can visit in the city on 3rd ave between 61st and 62nd street, ive been there before.

i know someone who jsut had the flowers in decorated baskets and the flowers were handed out that way!...less work=happy bride :)

This is what my sister did, people just grabbed a handful on the way out. Honestly for the petal cones, just cut out of big circle and roll at the bottom! if I can do it, You can!
