I am soooooo excited I ordered my Monique Luhullier dress today! I am getting the coco skirt and the Jacqueline (cap sleeve top) all in bridal white.
Now for my vendor rave, I went to the Iman Bridal Salon in Upper Brookville to show my mom and grandma the dress my bridesmaids and I selected for them to wear. Mom approved , but she also wanted me to try on other wedding dresses (before we went to the Wedding Salon to order my dress), well I tried on all the dresses that she asked me to wear, but Iman the owner of the store could see the look on my face that my Monique dress was 'the one' so she said to my mom, look I don't carry that line, but I will call the owner of the other store that carries the dress and see if she can give you a discount, so she did and got me a LOT of $ off of my dress. She totally did not have to do this, after all I am not purchasing my wedding dress from her and she was not even told that I was giving her the order for my bridesmaid dresses. I was floored. She is the absolutely best person in the bridal industry. (and yes my girls are getting their dress from her) I thought I would pass on the info. b/c you have all been so good at recommending places to me.

OMG that is such an amazing story. And yes, I agree, it's great to post things like these because a great number of vendors are out there to scam us and jack up their prices once they hear wedding - so when someone goes above and beyond, like she clearly did, they deserve to get recognized and get more business.
And a thousand congrats on getting your dream dress, at a discount, no less!

Bridesmaid dress is in blush pink - very pale. My dress has the cap sleeve top from the first picture and the skirt with the tucked under part for the bottom. It is all in bridal white.

Humm, the pictures did not attach...I am not sure what I am doing wrong. ETS: I figured out that I needed to convert from.bmp to .jpg. Silly me.

Thanks! The dress makes me so happy. I think my DF has visions of me in a very traditional dress, but when I saw this dress in black a few years ago I knew it would be the one if it were in white. I am so happy that my mom splurged on it for me. I feel like a bride now that I finally have my dress. Lisa

I went to Iman a couple of weeks ago & had a very good experience there too. The dress I fell in love with is there. It's an original by Iman, but I think it's too expensive, so I might keep looking for something similar. I thought they were great in there too.
ETA: Your dress is really beautiful by the way!!
