I picked up

my bridesmaid dresses on Friday. They are not what I wanted. They were supposed to be charcoal gray - they are silver. My fault - I chose the color/fabric from the swatch which was the size of a stamp so it was hard to tell. The swatch looked so dark.

Anyway - it is what it is now and its fine. I dont dislike them, its just not what I intended.

I was going to have the girls just wear black shoes since it was a very dark gray. Now, I think silver shoes would be better. Can I ask the girls to get silver shoes? They were all just saying they would wear black ones they already have...

Thoughts?

yea! most willprob have.. if they dont, they u can find a cheap pair at mandees for 20$ and buy it for them... and that can be part of their bp gift lol

sorry they werent what you wanted but at least you still like them... i think either or would be fine, if they already bought black shoes i think they should just wear those... are the dresses long?

I think it's definitely okay for you to ask them to get silver shoes.
I thought my girls would wear black shoes too and if they couldn't find a nice new pair, they'd wear a pair they already owned, but after a slight color change, we all decided silver would be better and they all agreed to buy silver shoes if they didn't have any of their own.

okay cool - thanks! I felt bad saying they cant wear the black ones now but they just wont look good with such a silver looking dress now.

The dresses are long but I think youd still be able to see in pictures if we are sitting and stuff.

I'll let you know the reactions I get.
