One of my BM's was a no show at my bridal shower .. No calls or anything to anyone. The next day was Mother's Day and she texted me saying 'Happy Mothers Day' (I have a dog) ..

I texted her back saying 'Yeah - We missed you yesterday' and she wrote back 'Im so sick' ... I didnt answer her ... Then she wrote 'Ive been coughing and feeling so sick, I'll make it up to you I hope everyone doesnt hate me'

WTH?!??! Im so sick... is that a fukcing joke? You'll make it up to me? Hows that? A bridal shower is a once in a lifetime thing ... and youre in the bridal party and live 15 minutes from where it was ..

I havent spoke to her since .. Not sure what to even say anymore .. Im so tired of selfish people showing their true colors ever since we got engaged.

FH and I have been saying from the beginning 'its u and me against the world' cuz of crap like that.

I have a bm that I fear will do the same, but I don't think she gets it. She doesn't know what it is to be a bm. She thinks u stand up in a pretty dress lol

I would give her the benefit of the doubt that she was truely sick but she should have called someone. I don't think she should have called you THAT DAY... but certainly the next she could have said I didn't want to ruin the surprise for you so I called (your mom, other BM, etc) and wanted to follow up with you today.

Ughhh...so sorry that happened. I totally understand where you're coming from though. I also know about bridal shower and one of my BM's told me that I scheduled it on a weekend that she's working and then asked if I could change the date!?!?!?!?

I am going through the SAME THING!!!! Ever since I got engaged, so many of the people I care about have been acting SO strange. Really jealous and distant...including my MOH (my own sister!!!). It is so tough to have to feel these emotions at a time like this...when it should be all about YOU and the most important day of your life! Keep your head up and focus on all of your friends and family that are being supportive and loving
