I really can't today...

I've really had it the last couple of days where people feel the need to tell me 'how much time I have' or oooh 'it's so far away' when discussing my wedding or asking when the date is...I JUST WANT TO KNOCK THEM OUT!!!!..thanks girls..vent over haha

I do always say that too but when it's patients of mine at work I feel rude to say it to them..I work with my mom so I just go up to her & freak out haha..I've been dealing with this since I got engaged at Christmas & since 10 months have passed & I'm under 2 years finally, I was getting excited..I said to my mom instead of saying June 2011 I'm going to say a year from JUNE! HA! i'm psycho...

I actually had my first lie the other day when calling a bridal shop to see if they have dresses and to make an appt. Told her I was getting married in Nov 2010 so it didn't seem 'too early'... my plan is to lie all the way up until April and then I will start telling the truth

haha good idea bc then it'll be a year away and that'll be 'normal'. Before anyone asks me my date, I always say before something like 'well I know its a million years away....dec of 2011'. It kinda ***** because it takes away the excitement, but i know in the end, it'll be worth the wait!!

I am probably going to lie too when I go to try on dresses...but what are you going to do when you find the dress you love and want to order it? Are you going to tell them that you moved your date?? I wish I could just be honest from the beginning.

I know girls it really stinks..& it's funny because I never even thought about lying about my date..I didn't realize the crap I'd have to deal with now though haha.. I went shopping for my dress in Jan '09 for my June '11 wedding & they never gave me a problem. I guess because they just wanted to make a sale..but I went to like 5 stores..try these if you haven't already!

Paradise Bridal: Patchogue where I ordered my dress

When these people say about not looking so soon or booking so soon just be like 'oh ok thanks I have a few other places that don't care when my date is'..click...they don't deserve your sale anyway!!

I feel really bad for you girls that feel like you have to lie about your date...I've come to the conclusion that the people who try to bring us down are not happy with their own lives therefore take joy in trying to bring us down..misery loves company. But they can all get a life because we all deserve to enjoy every minute of our engagement..& we will!!

I know!!!! Thats really annoying. I'm sorry it got to you today. I have to hear it from everyone.my sister is getting 'married' Sept of 2010, so ... 'Well i understand why valerie is booking everythings under a year...but you have so much time...' ugh its irritating. And the last person to tell me that, I was just like, im getting everything ready now so for the next year i can continue to work on loosing my fat butt and not worry about anything else except squeezing into a dress, now would you like my money or not because i can go elsewhere. :)

OMG you poor thing hearing all about your sister's wedding being first..just block it all out & like I said enjoy being engaged this is your time & just like she had hers so should you!

I think because we are still in 2009 when people hear 2011 they think it's really far away.

I think when it hits 2010 we will stop hearing this because you just say 'oh it's next year' - that doesn't sound so far away.

So let's hope January comes quick!

Thank you. :) I appreciate it. It's aggrivating but i'm getting used to it. Hers will be over and done with soon enough, but it seriously feels like bride wars sometimes.

it def is so annoying when ppl tell u its to soon to start planning I just tell them well I want to be done paying for it so we can start saving for a house... it helps shut up most ppl. At first it was ok for the 2 yrs away bc my bro was getting married next yr but now they broke up and called off the wedding so now I cant really talk about it w fam cuz we dont wanna upset him and from friends I get if they break up just like that are u sure u wanna book everythin now still its so far away. ahhhhhhh so annoying...
