Re: i really feel like just crying!!!!!!!!!!

house hunting and buying is VERY stressful but in the end it will all be worth the months of frustration.

just think, in a few short days you will officially be homeowners. the feeling will be so unbelievably surreal.

hang in there, the worst is almost over.

If I buy a house, we will have nothing left over. Is this the norm? Do people usually have some money still saved after closing costs, downpayment, etc.?

We were broke for the first few months but are now saving $. You are going to be broke cause you want to buy and do a lot of stuff for the house. After a while, you won't need to spend a lot of $ on the house repairs. Don't worry!!!!!

Hey Girl...

You'll see all of this money going in one direction - Out - and will think how will e rebound, what if such and such happens, etc. and you guys will find a way!!!!

The bills will get paid and the paperwork will go in.

you will sit through an 3+ hour closing and then thats it... you're done!!!!! You'll be a home owner!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Luck Relax and breathe!!!!

oh honey i feel your pain. i know exactly how it is. all this money and *poof* its gone before you know it.

the great thing is the housing market is unbelieveable right now and your investment will pay off in the future.

as for taking care of everything on your own - im in the same boat. my fh lives on LI and im in CT - where the house is. who do you think makes all the decisions and pays all the bills and organizes things? me. it *****- cause if i mess up, it was my doing.

HOWEVER, its alllllll worth it in the end so hang in there!!!!

I've felt the same way. Some days I think we can do it, no problem. Other days I have a panic attack. Everyone keeps saying though that it's doable and it'll all work out, people are doing it all the time. Unfortunately, these people bought their houses so long ago, I don't think they realize what it's like to try and do this on LI in 2005!

But soon you'll have your own house. 10 years from now, you'll look back on your investment and feel like it was hard in the beginning, but worth it.

it's almost over - just hang in there! This is the most stressful part thoguh, just keep reminding yourself that! Your first year as a new homeowner is usually the most expensive since you not only have the cost of your down payment and closing costs, but also all the other one-time costs that come up, new furniture, movers, any repairs needed to the house, and all the cosmetic stuff. Once all the big stuff is out of the way, you wont feel like you're on your way to welfare anymore! It's a CRAZY time, you're not wrong for feeling frazzled adn frustrated, especially since most of us are relatively young when we purcahsed our home. We bought our house 3 years ago - I was only 23 at the time and felt so stupid and helpless!) Just try to keep in mind that most the things you are spending money on are a one time thing (aside from your mortgage and other monthly expenses!) In the meantime, try to take some time off to just relax if you can, even if it's just a 10 minute walk outside to clear your head. Remember, this is an investment, so technically you're not 'broke', your money is just going towards your home's equity now.
