I really hate

bridal showers

DON'T PELT ME WITH ROTTED BOUQUETS

i just think they are so boring,

I have to go to one this sunday for my friend

I'm desperately trying to come up with creative ways to make mine more fun... anyone have ideas??

Eh, I'd prefer to just have a chillax barbecue instead of a fussy bridal-y party. Then it'll just feel like a Sunday with fam and friends rather than a chore.

Plus presents, of course

FSIL had a game where her husband was on skype and they would be asking the bride and groom questions about each other to see how much they knew about each other. It was quite entertaining.

i know bridal showers are boring - but it won't be for you cuz it's for YOU!!!!

Generally, yeah, they do s uck a big one.

Lots of games + lots of booze make them more bearable.

IMO, fun = booze and games.

The more games, the more fun. The more booze, the more fun the games are. And the more wild the group gets.

I don't mind them or think they are boring. If the ppl around are boring then yeh its going to **** but I don't intend to have any boring ppl at my shower plus we will do fun games and stuff soo it will be cool.

i just hate watching people open gifts

so I'm hoping to make a game out of it

have everyone hold their gifts, not pile it in a corner

then pull names out of a hat

you open your gift to me :)

every 3rd, 10, 16, and then idk 25th name pulled out
wins a prize, or are put into a separate raffle for one big nice prize. ( like a 100 dollar spa certificate)

I do wanna do the toilet paper wedding dress game... i also need another game...and lots of booze LOLOL

Ive been fighting with my family about opening gifts at the shower... people saw your registry they know what you got!!
Its sooo boring , id rather eat and drink with my friends!

Im trying to convince my mom to do it on a fri or sat night , so we can HAVE FUN

I hate them too! My sisters and I have a system where we open the presents as fast as possible, to keep the party going. As as guest, i HATE sitting there for hours watching someone open gifts. 'Look everyone, a pot from Aunt Joan!!' No one cares. As much as I hate showers though, you can be sure I am having one, so I can subject all my already married friends to what they have put me through, lol. My only request for my shower was that it be open bar.

ITA- I hate showers too. I hated going to them and don't want to subject other people to that misery either!! I am not planning on having any and already told my job/co-workers not to throw me one, as well as my mom/family. If people want to give me gifts, have them send it to me or just bring it to the wedding.

I know there will definitley be dancing at my shower. For the gift opening you can do gift bingo. For my sister's shower I created a bingo board in Word with blank boxes. All the guest wrote down what they thought she would receive. As she opened gifts guest marked their riht guesses with hershey kisses. Who ever gets bingo gets a prize.
