Gorgeous! Don't most halls provide that sort of thing though? I can imagine my reception site making a cake that didn't end up fitting on the stand or something....but then again maybe I just expect everyone to screw up everything! (sorry, been having issues with vendors lately) - hehe

that IS a beautiful cake stand. get it! i got mine through ebay...

most halls provide a platter, etc. for the cake, but you can use your own if you tell the banquet manager. i had mine take note that my cake stand is 12 ' in diameter, so the bottom tier of the cake must be equal or less than that.

I do want to order this cake stand but I don't know if it will be too much especially since I will have a monogram cake topper like the one below.

Now in retrospect, a cake stand would have been a good idea.

It was placed on the table, and despite the fact our cake was 4 tier it was quite low. A stand would easily raise it up a foot or so.

I dont think your monogram will be too much w/ the cake stand..i actually think it would be a nice combo. I say go for it! I wish I had thought of something like that too, I definately would have gotten one!

Very nice. But do really need it? Doesnt your hall provide one? The monogram is very nice, but IMO it might be too much with the cake stand.

I think you should do both! The stand and the monogram. It will look nice in the pictures. If you have high ceilings in your room, you may want to consider having it for height.
