I really need your help: Making cds as favors (w/ a twist)

So fh and I have decided to go with a sexy, jazz club type theme for our e-party. for our favors we were thinking of making a cd w/ some of our fave jazz songs. How do we burn them? Is it ok to burn 100 on my computer? How do you make the cd covers? Is there a service out there for this?

Our other idea:

little jars of jam that say:
' James & Krystal's Jazz Jam'
November 10, 2007

UPDATE: I came up w/ the amazing and wonderfully expensive idea (lol) of making the jazz cds and using them as our invites. So we want our pic on the cd itself, but the cover or envelope to have an invitation on it.

I dont mind burning them myself but the labels must be done by a pro. who do i turn to for this? Any good ebay stores or shops i can go to?

My 2 fave companies online will cost 7-8 per cd and then teh cost of me mailing them to ppl.

Yes you can burn them on your computer, but it's going to take awhile. Maybe do about 10 a day? You can buy programs that create labels that you can print yourself too. Check out Best Buy, Circuit City or Staples for those programs. One of them will usually have sales on CDs, cases or even the programs with labels.

Also, is it difficult to put the labels on?

Try Pippy's sweets. Diana can make anything and her prices are great.

It sounds like you're looking for a CD burner that also writes on CD's. Labels aren't hard to make, you can get a kit and stamp them on yourself, but the writing on them requires a special kind of CD burner/writer, thingy.

I burned all of my CD's myself. The trick to this is that you need a printer that can print directly on the CD's and not use labels. FM me if u need more info.

ok, I made my sisters CD's for her wedding- burned them all myself and made labels that I stuck right on the CD's- the problem is with the labels if they get really hot the labels can start to come off a little. So I'm doing CD's as one of our favors too, but I'm burning the music myself and leaving the CD artwork to a pro (she's printing one of our e-pics directly onto the CD- no labels!).

here's the website: Catskill CD
