Ms. Joyce ___________& Guest. ?? (Hello people we are engaged, I'm not bringing anyone else!)
It was an invitation from a family friend that is just like a wedding invitation. FH & I have been together a little over 2 years. We have been living together for over a year and have been engaged five months. These people have met FH only about 6 times. If they forgot his name, they could've asked their niece, who is my MOH and best friend. These people are aware that FH & I are engaged. Ok, you could say when some people get older, they forget things, but the invites were done by their daughter, who also knows we're engaged. Give me a break! Normally I wouldn't complain about something like this, but its the 2nd time this has happened.

ooh I know how you feel about that! We got invited to FHs cousins wedding and it said & Guest....umm yeah we were dating before they got together, before they were engaged...so I dont get it either...I just chalk it up to people dont know that they should put the guests name if they know it

That too! YOu should sign the card with his name & guest instead of both of your names..that would really screw them up

I hear ya - I was invited to someone in FH's Bridal party as guest. I really didn't want to go but my fh made me!

That's really annoying that people couldn't make the phone call to double check his name! I've got a good one...FH and I have been together 7 years. About 2 years ago he was invited to a wedding of people who we went to college with, and was invited alone! Other friends were invited 'with guest' who weren't even dating anyone seriously! It was so weired, and FH felt awkward calling them to see what the deal was, so he just responded no! I was annoyed!! LOL some people just think differently!

yeah, that's rather unfortunate.... If I received that, I'd think there's some passive aggression.....
Before FH's family accepted me into their fold, they would expect him to come alone, even though we were dating for over 18 months!
You're right, they could have found out the name really easily... they didn't bother to...
