I received a check with a response letting us know they wouldnt be able to come,

can I deposit the check now or should I wait? If I deposit it now when do I send a thank you?

I would do the same thing. Call them and Thank them as well and tell them that you will send them a picture when you get them.

Deposit it now. or they'll think you didn't get it.

If you talk t them , thank them in person or on the phone, then send a formal thank you later.

Deposit it now. When you do your thank you's be sure to include a line in there like 'We're so sorry you unable to make it to share in our day. We missed your smiling faces.' Or something along those lines .... I ahve a whole book at home of phrases!

I would say deposit it now...and send a thank you now! I wouldn't wait...they didn't wait to send you a thoughtful gift. A thank you is another way to let them know your recieved the check and that you are sorry they could attend. JMO.

, I also wanted to let you know that I went to HS with your FI Bobbysbride. We grautated the same year also. It's such a small world. Thanks for all help ladies.

I have been depositing gifts as I receive them and sending thank yous right away. The last thing I want to do is forget to send them one after the wedding. I thank them and add that I am sorry that we will miss them at the wedding. Then I don't have to worry about it.
