The postal worker told me that when my wedding invites are finished, to bring one in with everything all inside so they can calculate how many stamps I will need. She said a bride recently had a disaster because her invites were too big and heavy and she didn't put the correct stamps on them. She wasn't sure if guests received them and started crying at the post office. she then had to make phone calls to find out who did or did not receive an invite.

Most invites cost 61cents to mail. Obviously get it weighed there first. Postage is also going up next year too.....

It was supposed to go up jan 2nd but congress just denied it. I called the post office the other day bc I need a heads up! My rsvps need to be stamped with accurate postage and my invites go out in jan They said normally they announce it with 4-5 months heads up.

Yeah, we were planning on doing that! You'd think that brides would read bridal mags and stuff like that. They all tell you to do that! FH has a scale at work so I think he will just do it there and order postage online. Our post office often runs out of the good stamps!
