Yes, definitely open it. Otherwise, you can't send the Thank You note and your aunt might not know that you got it. Of course, you'll have to tell us what it is though!

I got a beautiful silver serving dish. The side handles are made to look like bamboo. It is beautiful. The great thing is that you can use it on the stovetop or grill and you don't have to polish it
