for my cousin's wedding in OCT. at Jericho Terrace in the Skylight room. I can't wait I haven't been to a wedding in a year. I love weddings.
The invite was addressed to me right and where you reply his Fiance put 2 she gave me a number. Wow I guess you have to do what you have to do to make sure people don't bring just anyone. I thought it was a bit pushy though. I wonder if I could get away with doing that.

Re: I recieved a wedding invite
interesting... you would think it would have been addressed to you and a GUEST, which woudl have implied two people.... but to fill it out, that's weird, what if you weren't bringing someone, you would just reply for 1...

I totally agree well she knows I was bringing someone but I don't know if I would do that with the response. I don't know if that is proper.

Re: I recieved a wedding invite
I wouldn't say it is proper.... the number of people your invited is implied on the inner envelope (Name and guest) or just one name. You fill in the number based on whether or not you were invited with a guest or are bringing an invited guest.

Re: I recieved a wedding invite
my fiance got an invitation like that and it was filled in with 1 guest and that meant that i was not invited, i thought that was rude, the least they could have done was put 2 down.
I have heard stories that some people have filled in the # of people attending to be greater than the # of people invited.

we did that on our RSVP's! LOL i didn't want anyone trying to bring their kids or cousins or something. (my family's ghetto)
so we have:
We have reserved ____ places in your honor
___ accepts with pleasure ___ declines with regret
i have a feeling no matter what--someone will scratch out the # we put in and try and add someone.

Me too. We are on a budget and I am scared that people will either try to bring their children or a guest if I didn't invite them with one. Staying on a budget is so hard and some people don't understand that.

Re: I recieved a wedding invite
That's how I did my invites. I filled in the number of people to attend.
I also number the back of the response card along with the copy of the labels so that when someone mail their invite back and forget to write their name on the response card, I'll know who it is.
Two people mail their response back without writing their name and my system worked.
