I registered AND looked in Jersey...

I registered at Fortunoff's - not much but my Fiance was having a good time with the gun. I have to go in and change all the 100 items down to 12 and so on. hahah.

Also looked at 2 sites in Jersey and got way higher quotes than here.

But, I told him that we need to be open and I want him to fall in love with something here just as he falls in love with stuff in Jersey.

I'm such a good !!!

Thanks for letting me share. Next weekend is going to be busy than ever!

I looked at the venetian (been there for a wedding). We walk in and a wedding for 700 - that's right - 700 was about to begin!!! WHEW.

Anyways.... then we saw Macaluso's - which is amazing - italian place by his house.

liked it...but I am crossing my fingers for Jericho Terrace!!!

I am from NJ. I went to Macaluso's because someone I know got married there and loved it. I didn't book there because I had an appointment, but no one was there for us!

Also, I looked at the Venetian, but got turned off to them because they gave me a quote and when I went back to book, they said they couldn't give me that price.

I got so fed up with NJ...the prices are MUCH higher than LI and a bunch of places in NJ gave me qoutes and then wouldn't honor them...GRRR!

Did you go to The Crystal Plaza in Livingston? One of the girls at work had her reception thare and it was amazing!!!!

I looked there and it is amazing! The only thing was that the guy gave us a flat rate. One big price-it wasn't per person. So we asked what if we had 50 more or less people. He said it would be the same price. I thought that was strange, but their philosophy is it's 1 wedding and their looking to get a certain price for the night.

Yeah - the nice part about mac's was that we could have a wedding at any time wanted... but the price was def. higher than i htought it would be.

Suven: I'm MOVING to jersey at some point in 05 - so I'm not sure that I want everything there, you know? Not sure at this point yet.

I'm am from Jersey too (out here going to school) and I am getting married in Jersey. I feel like I have been to every single reception hall in the state! And prices at all of them are soooo expensive! My dream place to have my reception was the Venetian in Garfield...but for $165 pp we just couldnt swing it. I am having my reception at the Hasbrouck Heights Hilton and I am paying more than I wanted per person but the room the reception is in is on the very top of the hotel looking right at the NYC skyline because all the walls are windows (Hasbrouck Heights in only like 10 minutes from the George Wash. Bridge). It's amazing. Plus we got so many rooms there for free the night of the wedding for our families. If you need any help at all with Jersey halls, let me know I have price quotes for just about all of them!
