I removed my dress from Bridal Reflections....

I removed my dress from Bridal Reflections....

I just wanted to update everyone on my wedding gown situation. I got in touch with the designer's salon. (Yolanda Couture). The lady whom which I spoke to, told me, that having blood on my dress is common, and that I shouldn't concern myself with it, since it was eventually removed from my gown. She told me to be happy that I had my health ..and to go on and have a great wedding. Although, what she said was true......and something my grandmother would say, I found it disturbing, that the designer wasn't going to assist me at all. I was disappointed that they weren't concerned about me being satisfied. Their allegiance is obviously with Bridal Reflections, since that's one of the few salons that carries Yolanda dresses. Obviously they need Bridal Reflections more than they need me...I am a one time consumer. I picked up my gown on Saturday. I had a fairly large remaining balance, that had to be paid in cash or a bank check...but I handed it over Bridal Reflections and removed my gown. This time the gown was pressed and I couldn't believe it, there were NO STAINS LOL . The General Manager wasn't there, so all the employees were friendly and had kind words for me. I am getting my dress altered by a seamstress that has a little store by my house. Bridal Reflections ....didn't get far with the alterations. So this seamstress is taking over and finishing all alterations. I am just praying the woman is talented and everything works out. She said she will have it done for me by next week....which gives me a week leway before the wedding (I know not much time)....So everyone pray for me, I just want a wedding gown that fits, without blood stains :) Thank you all for reading such a long post :)

So glad that everything seems to be working out. That stinks that the designer would not see it your way. I really hope that blood stains are not so common!

Although what the lady said is true and somethin that your grandmother would say I think it was very rude that it would come from the lady at the designer's salon. I cant believe she would say that to you. And blood is common on a dress? I am outraged by this. I be so annoyed if she said that to me. I am glad you were able to get your dress and everything turned out ok. I know your dress will be perfect. And so will your day!!!!

It's a response to inform the people who were concerned about my saga with bridal reflections...what has happened. I didn't want to post the entire situation anymore...since LIWeddings , deleted it twice. I had two fittings, both times there were stains. The second fitting there were an outragerous amount of red blotches on the back of the gown. The attendant identified it as blood. The General Manager, was rude, about the situation and handled it very poorly. The stains were removed, somehow. I received a lot of support by the brides on this site, and I thought some would like to know the latest. It's an update, that's the type of response it is. If you need to know all the details, than do a search ...on 'my bridal reflections experience'...

I think CMC and I meant, was what kind of answer is that & whats the meaning behind 'it's common to have blood on your dress?'

exactly jenn...

woah...I just read your post Michelle - relax.
I wasnt questioning your response regarding Bridal Reflections... I was equally as shocked as jennbaby as to THE reaction and response to YOU, and how unprofessional it was to say something like blood on a wedding dress is common... totally on your side girl...take it easy killer... it's all good!!

glad you got your dress!!

Re: I removed my dress from Bridal Reflections....

Oh ,sorry for the confusion. :) yeah , that's exactly how I felt. I was shocked and disturbed. I decided since I had no assistance, it was best for me to remove the dress, get it altered somewhere else, and focus on my wedding. However, after that day ....I will be on a mission for justice :) hehe I sound like wonder woman...that feels good:)

blood on a dress, being normal?

have you reported the company to the BBB yet?

i would, and would consider contacting whatever government website, and seeing how they like the comment that blood is normal...

That's a horrible thing to go through so close to your wedding day! As if getting married wasn't stressful enough! Did they give you a discount at all?
