I just wanted to update everyone on my wedding gown situation. I got in touch with the designer's salon. (Yolanda Couture). The lady whom which I spoke to, told me, that having blood on my dress is common, and that I shouldn't concern myself with it, since it was eventually removed from my gown. She told me to be happy that I had my health ..and to go on and have a great wedding. Although, what she said was true......and something my grandmother would say, I found it disturbing, that the designer wasn't going to assist me at all. I was disappointed that they weren't concerned about me being satisfied. Their allegiance is obviously with Bridal Reflections, since that's one of the few salons that carries Yolanda dresses. Obviously they need Bridal Reflections more than they need me...I am a one time consumer. I picked up my gown on Saturday. I had a fairly large remaining balance, that had to be paid in cash or a bank check...but I handed it over Bridal Reflections and removed my gown. This time the gown was pressed and I couldn't believe it, there were NO STAINS LOL . The General Manager wasn't there, so all the employees were friendly and had kind words for me. I am getting my dress altered by a seamstress that has a little store by my house. Bridal Reflections ....didn't get far with the alterations. So this seamstress is taking over and finishing all alterations. I am just praying the woman is talented and everything works out. She said she will have it done for me by next week....which gives me a week leway before the wedding (I know not much time)....So everyone pray for me, I just want a wedding gown that fits, without blood stains :) Thank you all for reading such a long post :)

I'm sorry that you had to deal with an unecessary headache. FSIL 'removed' her dress from Bridal Reflections too because of her own issues with the place. Everything will work out fine after all you do have your health! Whatever.....

I ordered my dress through them too. They were the only place that carried Lazaro on the island. I really hope they dont screw it up

Don't worry about. If something is wrong, within the last week, she shoud be abel to fixit. My cousin' picked up her dress the DAY before her wedding & the lining hem wasn't finished, and we brought it right back & she fixed it whil we waited. The work itself shouldn't take too long, the seamstress would just have to do it right away, which most people would do in an emergency.

Re: I removed my dress from Bridal Reflections....
No there was no discount . When my mother asked the General Manager, if she was going to compensate me, at all...her exact reply was 'absolutely not'....when I took over the call, she told me I was only interested in lowering the cost of the dress . LOL which of course is quite insulting, and far from the truth. What I was interested in, was to be treated with compassion...and respect. That if there is an error on their behalf, that they appologize...and correct it. I am not sure if it is good store policy to let the customer leave distraught. I am no longer upset about the blood on my dress...what is more horrible, is the way I was spoken to by the General Manager.

I'm sorry about what happened to you. Why is it that there are soooo many bridal salons with rude employees?

another Bridal Reflections BAD experience....
Unfortunately as a bride, we have to go through it to learn our lesson, and the vendors,in this case Bridal Reflections, has you by the ***s because your a first-time bride so your not savy to the industry, your excited and ready to find the dress of your dreams and when you do, your eager to put your $$$ as a down payment without pricing around... The blood thing happened with me as well, but let me tell you from the beginning... I picked out a fairy expensive dress $6700 plus another $1200 for the train(what did I know? I never went wedding dress shopping before!) I put $ down, THEN price-shopped at a couple of other stores(I know-wrong order!) and realized the Bridal Reflec. Charged me $2500 MORE. I never said anything. Then I went for my 2nd fitting-there was red streaks all over the crinolin(sp?) slip when I asked what it was, the manager said it was probably my face makeup! On my slip? How'd it get down there??? And last I checked my face makeup wasnt Bright Red!! When i noticed it was also on my wedding dress, she said'you must have cut yourself shaving'-and proceded to do the leg-cut search on me. They wound up being able to remove the blood, after telling me Id have to pay for a new slip!! Oh-it gets even better... Every time I was scheduled for a fitting, they would call and cancel about an hour or two before the scheduled appt. and try to reschedule-this happened 3-4 times(every one of my fittings!)...The seamstress was sick-the dress wasnt ready yet bc shes been on vacation..very unprofessional to say the least, but I had adjust my whole day's plans to get there-left work early etc. THen my bridesmaids. We picked out a Bill Lefkoff dress $200 plus $45 extra for the shawl plus tax. So $260 +for your basic, nothing specialBM dress. (again, what did I know! I didnt realize that was on the high side!) My BMs(all 9 of them) put their downpayment-2 of which put cash down and Bridal Reflections later insisted they NEVER RECEIVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(That in itself shouldve made me call the BBB.) It just so happened that after this, I ran into an old friend who happened to be getting married 2 weeks after me and coincidently had choose the same BM dresses from Bridal Reflections! Only her dress was $154 tax and the shawl INCLUDED!!!! when I called to speak to the manager to see the reason for the price difference, they kept telling me 'shes not here she'll call you back' I was very polite at first, but it took several messages over TWO WEEKS to finally make the call and say I hadnt received a return call so to cancel the entire order! Wouldnt you know within 3 seconds the manager called me and apologized for the 'mix up' and adjusted the price. I could understand if it was an innocent mistake, but they waited to get all the BMs $ in, and avoided me for over 2 weeks! COme on,now! THey wanted to see if they could get away with overcharging to make themselves and extra $2340+. There were so many other things that happened that I cant think of right now, I know they are NOTORIOUS for ordering dresses 3-5 sizes larger so they can beat you with alteration fees. the've done this to at least 6-7 people I know. ALl I can say is Bridal Reflections put a HUGE damper on a very happy time in my life, and I will make sure my friends will learn from my unfortunate experience and not have to deal with these money hungry-rude vendors!!

Re: I removed my dress from Bridal Reflections....
I am so sorry to hear about your horror so I hope from here on you have good luck To prove a point BRIDAL REFLECTIONS is highly recommened by the SCOTTOS caterers which are the caterers to many of the girls on this site Which just proves that you do not have to be the best to b a RECOMMENDED SERVICE just pay the hall enough commisions and you become one of the BEST one day the whole recommened scam will be uncovered , So ladies use your head when choosing vendors you knew how to shop for the best before you meet your CATERER.

Re: I removed my dress from Bridal Reflections....
with horror stories like these its amazing that city hall isn't even more crowded with couples and disposable cameras! This is a multi billion dollar industry and its a shame that even though the industry EXISTS as a result of individuals the individual has virtually no power.
I am keeping my fingers crossed for you and thanking my lucky stars that I didn't get a dress from there after my mom pushed for it! Its only posts like these that help us all in the long run. Best of luck to you!
