I was second guessing my wedding dress (the Monique Lhuillier ballgown) for a few weeks now. Then came the nightmares. I called Wedding Salon of Manhasset and went in and saw my lady today. And we switched the order. I re-tried on my dress again and didn't feel it. We went next door to Vera Wang and the 2nd one I tried on was THE ONE. The RIGHT one. Only it was in purple! LOL So I didn't take any pics of me in it (which is a good thing, b/c I think part of the reason my other dress lost its lustre was b/c I looked at it too much).
So without further adieu, here is my dress. No turning back now! It's been re-ordered (which they were fantastic about, by the way). AND it was $500 less than the first dress.
The color I ordered it in is blush. Its not as pink in person as it is in the pic, but even still...WHO CARES? It's fabulous!

I'm totally a mess! Love ya too girl! I realize my style will never be 'sweet'...its more daring and bombshell-esque. I totally got the chills and had the moment in this (even though it was purple)..LOL

I'm totally a mess! Love ya too girl! I realize my style will never be 'sweet'...its more daring and bombshell-esque. I totally got the chills and had the moment in this (even though it was purple)..LOL

Barbs I knew you'd be a fan!! I think we may be long lost twinnies... Now I'm on the hunt for a feather comb in the blush color. Its not as pink in person as it is in the pic, it's very faint. Luckily there's still PLENTY of time..

Yeah.. I remember seeing it in a pink issue of Brides or Modern Brides..... I need to find one of thise clips too... I'm thinking at the RH I'll take my veil off and put that in.... IF I see anything in blush I'll send it your way!!!!

Ditto girl!! I found this awesome feathered headpiece designer called erica koesler..her stuf is at Kleinfeld and Bridal reflection..At BR they said when they have her trunk show she can custom make stuff. I'm gonna inquire. Will keep ya posted!

Ohhh Yeah I had an appointment at BR on the 3rd for some designers trunk show but I had to drop out at the last minute. I still need to go! Maybe I'll see you at the next one!

awww.....I realize I jumped too fast at ordering my dress (I'm very fickle when it comes to fashion) My original dress was amazing, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized that I WANTED it to be me, but it just wasn't..I guess if you knew me in person it would make more sense.

That's the important part! I know if I ended up with a poofy dress with pickups, as much as I salivate over some of the girls dresses here when they post them, I would have done the same as you and switched back to a mermaid. Poofy and pickups just ain't me either
