I spent last night in the hospital...

I was bleeding during the day and it got alittle heavier, so we went to the ER last night at 11...and I was there until 6 this morning!!!

I had 3 sonograms done (YES, 3!!!) along with an internal. What concerned me most is when the ER doc called my OB/GYN at 5 this morning to discuss my condition.

As it stands right now, the Dr. says it could be the start of a miscarriage, or sometimes this just happens for no reason. I have to call my OB/GYN tomorrow and schedule an appt. for later this week, when they will be able to tell if it was a miscarriage or not. Until then...bed rest, lots of water and no sex(which is fine because I don't want it anyway )

I haven't posted here in a LONG time, I always read the posts, but don't post, but I thought I'd just reply to your situation.

(Wow... I just noticed Caiden's picture... he looks so little! He's almost 6 months old now!)

Anyway, I forgot how far along you are, but when I was 8 weeks, and also 9 weeks, I started bleeding, and it really scared me too! They had no idea why, I just started bleeding. It started out light and then got a little heavier as the day went on. But like I said my son is 6 months old now!!! Whatever wasn't the norm with pregnancy, giving birth, and the size of my son, I experienced it.

I just wanted to let you know that I went through it too, so I know it's hard. Here are some hugs

I am 14 1/2 weeks, so I thought I was out of the woods, but apparently not. The ER Dr had no bedside manner and made me panic even more.

Fortunately, I got an appt. tonight at 8:30 for a sonogram, so we should know what's going on then.

Stacy- I'm sure it will all be ok!! Try to relax (I know it's near to impossible) Just keep your feet up. Make Scotty your little butler for the day. (I'm sure he wouldn't mind taking care of Mommy)

I am sorry this is happening to you....I too had bleeding in my first trimester and I know how stressful it is to wonder what is happening. Best of luck to you - I hope everything works out fine!

I too had bleeding and cramping at 14 weeks and it scared the living daylights out of me. I went to the doc and all is ok now - I've bled a few times since then and I've been put on bedrest for the time being. I am now 21 weeks and found out that I'm having a girl and everything is perfect with the little one.

My advice - don't worry!!!! Everything will be fine - sounds like your little peanut is trying to give you a run for your money like mine did

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers!!!

I'm back from the Dr and everything is OK. I had a sonogram and they even did a quick 3-D sonogram! I'm on bedrest for the next 72 hours, and then I'm back to normal.

Good luck! Please let us know how it turns out and remember that everything is meant to be. I've heard of many people who this has happened to (including members of my family) and they've had happy healthy babies. I wish the same for you, as well!

That's great to hear. As soon as I woke up I ran on to see how everything turned out!
Enjoy the bed rest as much as you can. As I said earlier I'm sure Scotty won't mind helping out. Ask for help if you need it.
