Figure out what you want them to look like first. Get an idea in your head.

Do you have Word? You can use that. Just type it up, play with different fonts. Go to www.dafont.com for really good ones for free. Any word processing program would work.

For the CD covers, are you talking covers for the paper cases or covers for the CD itself?

I already know what I want I just have no idae where to begin.I want the inserts to look just like these, without the pic.

The menus I want to look sonething like this.

And the seating charts, something like this.

Of course some of these are a bit too fancy for me to pull off at home but I wanna give it a shot. Thanks.

Ok- for the CD inserts- go to Staples or office max and pick up LOTS OF vellum. Then play around w/ Word until you get the order that you want everything in. Then add a pic at the bottom- print them out on word and cut them.
For the Menus- I agree w/ nsgraham- go to www.dafont.com Look for calligraphy- they have TONS of them and they're beautiful!! Play around w/ the font in Word again.
For the menu I would buy silver (or whatever color you want) scrapbook paper from Michaels and a sheer silver bow and a hole punch and then go back to word until you get your menu just how you want it- print it out (possibly 2 to a page if you want it smaller) and then hole punch 2 holes at the top center after you put the 1 pg on top of the other and then tie w/ the bow! Good luck!

O thanks girls. That sounds like a plan. I just hope I can cut them right. Thanks I will give it a shot, and let you know how it comes out.

You might have trouble putting vellum through your printer depending upon the thickness of it. Also if your printer is top feed or bottom feed. (Bottom feed really bends paper)

I suggest for the cd cases, go with the pre-cut paper. It's just easier in the long run, if you want to do it yourself. However what I will likely do is print 1, then bring it to staples and make color copies. The reason behind it is that printer ink is very costly.

Yea, i wrote an update on the thread. It worked marvelously. I must say THANK YOU VERY MUCH to you and all the other wonderful techies in the room. But I did have one question. I burned the cd onto the disk from my ipod playlist. I do not have a copier. So does that mean that I have to do each cd by popping it into my computer and burning it. Does that mean that I will have to listen to all the cds and make sure they are ok. I remeber that I was told that I could just make an iso and copy all the cds from that one and be guarantedd that they would all sound just like the first one, but considering I will be using the same procedure for all of the cds does that mean that I have to listent ot each one

You have to install a burning program of some sort, like Nero for instance. (Demo copy with a 30 day trial before you have to pay)

Nero

There are a few steps after that, so let me know if you are going to use it, and I'll try to write something up on how to make an iso, or in this case an NRG file. (NRG is Nero's disc image, like an ISO)

depending on the program, u can tell it to make 'X' amount of copies....

do your normal procedure...and see if it has number of copies...

if you, then use a program and say make exact copy of the orginal...then tell it do do how many copies you want. Most burners have burn proof protection so your chance of hitting an error is very limted. I would do it in rounds of 5 to 10 (makeing copies of) computer tend to use all there resources and memroy after costant burning.. so just to ensure good cd's, reboot every once in a while

Get your vellum on eBay - cheaper.

Get a hole punch with a reach of at least 1 1/4 if you use the overlay for the menus - you want to get the holes closer to the middle of the page.
