DH and I are waiting for the extended edition of all THREE LOTRs to come out in a boxed set...true geekdom!!

---

Hey Jax, same here!!!!! I'm waiting for the mega special-edition DVD box set too! I'm a BIG FAT TOLKIEN NERD and I don't care who knows it!!!! For Christmas last year DH got me the complete leather-bound hardcover set of the LOTR trilogy, The Hobbit AND The Silmarilion (complete collection of all the myths, legends, etc. of Middle Earth) Okay, insert 'what a cheese-ball' eye roll here, but I love it so much!! I love being a geek!!

---

Hey, my DH read the Silmarilion, so I know what it is! He hates to read, but he has pretty much read ALL of the Tolkien books! I'm not quite as geeky as you guys When does the 'mega special-edution DVD box set' come out??

If this is the one, it's out already:

Lord of the Rings trilogy

Is this it, or is there another? Please let me know, I want to get it for FH, if I cna get the $$, but ONLY if it's like THE one, you know?

ETA: It was released today

My friends, who is a LOTR junkie to put it mildly, said there's supposed to be some huge 25 disc version released! I haven't heard this elsewhere though.

I feel your pain. I bought DH Nintendo DS (the new handheld). Between that and his new Gamecube game, i've lost him.
