This wedding has gotten out of control and all I do is figh with my parents...they don't approve of the fact that I live with FH, we just bought a house together, and make this point known everyday. They think because they are paying for the wedding they can control every single detail. At this point...I would rather not have their money and just elope...their money comes with too many strings....if they don't approve they are being hypocritical by hosting the party anyway I swear they want the wedding more than I do anyway...I just want a marriage...please don't quote

sorry u have to deal w/this BS, but eloping sounds too drastic. when we were in Vegas me and FH saw this couple all dressed up in tux and wedding dress having dinner a table next to ours with no one else there. me and FH both thought that is one of the most saddest things we ever saw before u really go off and elope think about not having the people that care about u there. even that u do fight with them they still are ur family and maybe not now, but later u wish u had them there. that's what made me want a bigger wedding than what I initially wanted, and FH the same eventho he's not that into this big wedding thing. just not having the people we love there was not something we wanted to face. hope this whole thing will blow over, or u and ur family will find a way to work with each other instead of driving each other mad
