As I said yesterday I didn't care that people were not buying my expensive pots for my shower, I wanted the All Clad Copper Core because I did not want aluminum heated pots.
But I was reading up on them last night, because lets face it, they are $150 more even if I have to buy them myself... they have aluminum in them anyhow. What is the point of the copper and paying $150 more a pot for the copper band in them if they are still going to use aluminum.
So I switched to regular All Clad. But now its 3 days before my shower and everyone has bought stuff, so I probably won't get any anyhow.

People will buy even up to the same day so you never know. We wound up getting a lot of money and gift cards so if you don't get them you can always use those to pay for them.

Re: I Switched My Pots
I was stalking my registry and noticed a ton of people bought like one day before the shower so don't worry. Plus, you'll get gift cards too and can use those. No one bought our All Clad pots (didn't expect them to as a shower gift) but I got a ton of gift cards and if no one gets them for a wedding gift, I'll use those.

The point with the copper is that it heats evenly through out the pot, even if the copper is only the middle layer. Full copper pots are $$ and they are a biatch to cook with and clean. The mix metal gets you the best of both worlds for what the cooking world considers a good price.

Thanks, I get that, but do they cook that much better for $150 - $200 more a pot? They are certainly nicer looking, but super expensive.
I was interested in them because I thought they were aluminum free. But they aren't.
