My future in-laws offered to pay for our RD a while ago, but yesterday when we told them it's going to be 25 people they seemed...a little less than pleased.
I understand its a lot of people, but other than inviting our BP without dates and cutting out family members who are travelling a long way to come there's nothing I can do.
We can't afford to pay for the RD ourselves, and my parents are already tapped out. I was considering telling them we'll pay them back after the wedding (I know they can afford it), but I'm sure if that's a good idea either.

25 people is not that bad... i had almost 60 (and we didnt invite any OOT guests)... the RD is generally paid for by the Grooms side anyway...

I would not worry about it enless they say something. 25 people is adverage - we will have roughly 30 ppl

i dont think 25 people is a lot for a RH.
Have FH deal w them and they'll be fine.

Yeah seriously! After the BP and the immediate families, it's probably like 18-20 anyway! Jeebus...
See if FH can make them feel better about the number, that's the only thing I can suggest.

I don't think they ever really sat down and thought about how many people it was going to be, and you girls are right, 25 people isn't really that many.
I'm not going to bring it up unless they say anything. My FILs are great, they've done so much me and FH so t I hate rocking the boat lol.

I really don't think 25 people is a lot. We had 31 people at our RD. That was only the BP without dates, our parents, and the flower girls and ring bearers with their parents.
