I Think I Am Going To Sound Selfish......

But do you guys want your weddings to be like the best wedding out of everyone you know (friends, etc)?? I want it to be the most special and memorable day for FH and I, and he feels that I am wasting money on the little things (like I just wanted to order personalized napkins and he thinks Im crazy). I want to do it, b/c it makes me really happy and at the end of the day... I also want people to think 'WOW...everything she did for her wedding was amazing.' LOL!!! Okay.... does that sound bad?

i think thats not selfish at all..its perfectly normal to want ur big day to be amazing

I don't think it sounds selfish...if I thought my wedding wasn't going to be the best day for myself and my FH and our guests, I would have just gone to the justice of the peace and started my life with my fiance. But I , too, want the huge party of the year and I want people to be talking about it for years to come, otherwise all the $$$$ I'm spending would be for nothing. Thats just my opinion.

i think we'd all like to think ours is going to be the best but theres always someone that will outdo you and you have to be okay with that... what makes it the best is when guests can see that the reception reflects the couple... and that can be done in tons of ways.... IMO napkins arent a big deal... my cousin had them at her CH and sure it was a cute addition, but to me it was just another personalization... it didnt exactly reflect them as a couple... just an added expense IMO

if you have pets that you just adore, make table cards using them... ours are using diff islands bc most people know we love the caribbean...

our ceremony has a joke about us fighting over the mets and yanks...

just little things here n there .... IMO personalizing things and putting your monogram all over the reception isnt a reflection of the couple..

maybe get a cake topper that says soemthing about the 2 of you... or a donation favor... could be anything

I feel the EXACT same way, especially since my BP Su**s for the most part right now and they are all married, so I want to beat theirs. I know that is bad but oh well

Oh Gina, I would really LOVEEEE to include my baby..... oh I mean my doggie on the table numbers, but that might be too pricey. After all of the stuff I have already added on since being an LIW member... I dont know how much more of my adding on my FH will take hahahaha

it can be done rather inexpensively... got my frames from the dollar tree... and am printing my pics through walmart or something along the same lines... and its like 50 cents a pic... im using picnik.com to add the names to my pics.... i think its more time consuiming than anything... but that cuz im nitpicking LOL

I feel the same way.....I want our wedding to be the most memorable and nicest and romantic. I order so many personalized things (table numbers, personalized aisle runner, menu and place cards....I spent so much money.....OMG it's unbelievable)
