I think it's a bit too soon. You might end up saving yourself some money in alterations if you don't order it until you lose some of the weight you want to lose because you can order a smaller size. If you order it now, they will surely make you order one size up and then you'll need major alterations if you lose 25lbs! And it's not a good idea to order the dress in the size you *think* you'll be because anything can happen and you may not be able to lose the weight (illness, medication, etc).

yeah everyone is telling me to wait til i lose the weight, but i'm just scared they'll discontinue the dress, and then i wont be able to find it or one like it.

who is the dressy? and how about contacting the place u want to buy it from and seeing if there is any way they could inform you if the dress is going to be discontinued before its to late....FYI: THey know WAY AHEAD of time, so i am sure they can help you out. do u know if its a 04 or 03 dress?? can u tell us who it is and describe it mayve we can get off the manufacture site for u and post it

it's from davids bridal, i'm not sure of the design # or if it's an 03 or 04 dress. it's all white, strapless and it's hard to describe,but it has where the dress comes up diaganol across your body. i just looked at the website and couldn't find the dress. i wish i knew how to make pics smaller.

Im getting married Oct 9, 2005. I've all ready found my dress, but other than that I dont want anything to do with it until this October. I want to lose weight, so ordering is not a good idea. The salesgirl all ready told me there are no plans to discontinue the line for the next 6 months (she will call in 6 months and let me know the status). Plus there is a possibility that the price may drop if I give it some time. Keep all the info regarding the dress, check in on it regularly, and ask if there are any plans to discontinue it (usually they give 6-9 months prior notice). Hold off for a couple of months until your comfortable with your weight loss.
