I think I like these?!?!?!?

So FH wanted to help so he ordered hurricane lamps we needed to keep our memory candles lit during our outdoor ceremony! Well, they are huge! The candles look dwarfed in them, so I tried a little DIY with them. What do you think? The first one is the center one for his dad, then the other is a mock for the four for our granparents, 3 will have 2 one will have one (his grandfather is still with us )

I think I'm gonna put framed photos in front of the candles, hopefully their wedding photos, but I'm not sure if I can get all of them!

HOLY HUGENESS!! Can you return them? I guess not BUT good try FH! At least he is participating!

I like them but may I make a suggestion? Can you use white stones instead of the purple? Only bc (IMO only) I think it would go better with the green and white candle. The purple, to me, dosen't really go.

Maybe some natural color stone for the second one. It just dosen't look to me like it goes- or maybe a better word is stand out. I like what you did to them- I really do. Never in a million years would I ever come up with an idea like that. I just feel like it's missing a little..........hmmm something.

i love the sand idea....have you tried using white sand? and clear rocks??? just a thought...keep the vases...those are awesome

I am keeping the sand (I bought a 50lb bag of play sand at Toys R Us for $6, the ones at Michaels ar $3 for 1/2 lb!!! ) The rocks are negotiable. I bought purple, because that is my color. The natural ones are uber BIG! Unless I find natural smaller stones, I'll probably stick with the purple, but thanks fo the ideas ladies!!
