I think I'm happy... (very long)

Well, this whole thing over money... having to switch locations because we can't afford it, picking another place, maybe switching dates, and probably having our ceremony from the reception site to a church, and seeing if we do decide to switch dates, are our vendors still available. I'm not exactly sure what we're doing until I speak with my fiance (hopefully soon, he's at work), but here's what's going on. We are booked right now at the Port Jefferson CC. As of right now, we can't afford it anymore. So, we've been looking around. It looks like we might be going with the Holbrook Country Club instead of the Hamlet Golf Club. It's almost $5,000 cheaper than the Port Jefferson, and more than $2,000 cheaper than the Hamlet, and it includes more stuff than either one. Also, it's family owned by older folks and they said they're prices are cheaper because they want to give young people a chance to afford a nice wedding. Anyway, we were going to stick with our 8-16-02 date, but this place is available on our actual anniversary which is August 31. Now we're originally booked for a Friday night and the 31st is on a Saturday night. But they are letting us keep the same prices as our Friday night would of been, and without a minimum # of people. Isn't that great? We're lucky to get even 100 people, and they still say it's fine. We just need to give them an exact # of people beforehand. Also, I checked with all of my vendors that I've had booked since February and May, and they are all available on the 31st!!! I can't believe it. The photographer, videographer, DJ and the same MC, the church, hall, our hair/makeup lady and even our priest. So far I think that covers it. I can't believe it! When we first picked out a date we wanted our anniversary, but the Port Jeff CC wasn't available so that's how we got the 16th of August. But now if we switch, we can!!! Is this meant to be??? It would be so cool. We'll be getting married on our 9 year anniversary! The only thing that bothers me, is that now that we might switch, my luck it will be really nice on the 16th and rain on the 31st. I just can't stop worrying!!! I'm sorry this is so long... You know, even thought I haven't seen the Holbrook Country Club (I've seen pictures) I feel like it's the right thing to do. I'm so much happier with the new plans. It feels right. I'm so excited... I think!!! :O)
