Thank you so much you guys for being so supportive!!! I really, really mean that! I am walking around in a lala adoption wonderland and I have actually gotten comments from people saying 'why would you adopt a child that old?' and 'but you are white, Russia has white babies' stupid comments like that. It's like a kick in the as$ and smacks me out of my dreamland and makes me want to smack the people who actually are rude enough to say such ignorant things to me. I am aware of the issues that come with adopting an older child and not that I wish these children to be orphans, but the ones I am interested in have truly lost their parents to death, but they were loved by their parents, so there is a much less chance of them having attachemnet disorder than with older children who were abandoned by their parents. And as far as a white baby, I am white, but my husband isnt and it shouldnt matter if he was white anyhow. These children need homes.
UGH..I wish everyone could be as cheerful and thoughtful and supportive as you all have been. Its such a nice feeling to come on here and read your nice comments, it really makes my day..so Thank you, for being a continuous support and not getting tired of me talking about the same thing over and over.

i wish you and dex all the love and happiniess in the world hopefully you will have something extra special to celebrate on you approaching 1 year anniversary. i feel that a child should be loved regardless of there age or race. you are amazing for sticking with your beliefs regardless of what all rude insenstive people say. i cant wait to see the pics of your new children.

Thanks so much everyone!!! I just found out this afternoon kind of how this is going to work..once our homestudy is complete, should be in 6 to 8 weeks, we can then place a 'hold' on our children. If we are approved for two children, then we will adopt two, if not, we will have to choose just one. I still have no definite answers of which children from the video are still available, will find out monday or tuesday, but they could still get adopted while I am waiting for the completion of our homestudy. My birthday is ground hog day.Feb 2nd, so my hope is that by the time of my birthday, I will know exactly who we will be bringing home and then we can start shopping and painting and getting thinsg ready. This is the most amazing thing I have ever gone through.. and hopfully by summer, we will be in Ethiopia picking up our little cuties!!! YEA!!
